Spring loaded bayonet attached to the top of the barrel. Overall length of the pistol is 10 3/4". The large octagonal barrel is 5" long and has a bore of .68 caliber. The spring loaded bayonet is released by a catch which slides to the rear on top of the tang. The loop which locks the bayonet at the muzzle is broken. A belt hook is attached to the left side of the frame. Barrel has about 70% of the original English style blue finish remaining. Some twist pattern does show through the blue finish. Side hammer style action with steel frame. English proof marks are present on the left side of the barrel and frame but no maker's mark is present. Swivel type ramrod is located beneath the barrel and is housed on a steel underrib. One piece bag shaped walnut grip is nicely checkered with very little wear to the checkering.
